Hello fellow writers and comrades in suffering! I’m Connie Kirchberg, and this is my section of the Grassroots Writer’s Guild blog where you can learn about me and read samples of my books.
As of this writing, I have two novels and one novella available for purchase on Kindle: The Program Effect (mystery/suspense), Face the Music: An Elvis Novel (romantic suspense), and Silent Night, a Christmas Novella (mainstream). My first non-fiction book, Elvis Presley, Richard Nixon, and the American Dream, originally published by McFarland in 1999, is available in a reprint version; please email me if you are interested in obtaining a softcover copy for $20. My other conventionally published book, Hoop Lore: A History of the National Basketball Association (McFarland, January 2007), remains in print and available for purchase via most online bookstores and sports sites. I will be soon be adding two new titles, Maggie Inside Out and One Bad Deed. I hope to have both available on Kindle by March.
In addition to the writer’s side of me, I have added a few categories that will help you get to know me. One of the main reasons Julia and I decided to do this blog is to build a bridge between writers and readers. And it’s so easy to do with today’s internet networking. Think of the “Photo Flap” page as an expanded version of the old fashioned paper dust jackets (which still exist, but almost exclusively on best selling author’s books). The inside flaps of these jackets usually tell readers a little bit about the author. My Photo Flap page shows and tells you a little about the biggest supporters I have as a writer, my family.
I hope you find something on our site that interests you. Please feel free to leave suggestions and comments. We are just getting off the ground, so we really do want and need input from other writers and readers.

Have you ever considered adding more videos to your blog posts to keep the readers more entertained? I mean I just read through the entire article of yours and it was quite good but since I’m more of a visual learner,I found that to be more helpful well let me know how it turns out.
